Make Music Day is a day where free, live musical performances, opportunities to make music and other musical events take place around the world on the longest day of the year.
For the eleventh consecutive year, Montclair will be one of more than 65 cities across the United States taking part in Make Music Day.
Make Music Winter is a participatory winter events held on December 21st. Make Music Winter has been organized across the United States by the Make Music Alliance.
Who’s Organizing This?
The Montclair Make Music Day Committee is a Committee of Indie Arts Montclair, and is made up of volunteers, musicians, non-profits, small business owners, and students. The first Montclair Make Music Day took place in 2014 and was successful because the community embraced it and organizations like Terry’s Serendipity Café and the 73 See Gallery provided volunteers and support. Starting in 2018, Montclair Make Music Day became a project of Indie Arts Montclair.
Montclair Make Music Day is a project organized by community residents. We are a member/affiliate the Make Music Alliance, a network of local organizations representing 80 + cities/town in more than 30 states.
