Make Music Weekend took place on June 21, 22 and 23rd. Nearly 100 events at more than 30 locations made 2018 one of our largest Make Music events so far.
Our first Make Music Winter! We were on of a handful of cities which took part. Events kicked off with a musical parade, two holiday bells performances and night bike ride.

On June 21, 2017 Montclair hosted 33 musical events with over 100 performances, the largest and most successful Make Music Day in Montclair. events ran from 10 am until midnight and happened in nearly all parts of town. As we plan for 2018, we hope to continue providing a great opportunity for Montclair area residents to perform and enjoy music as we welcome summer!
2016 was our first "week day" Make Music Day and the whole town responded! While Saturday's pre-Make Music events, including Serendipity Cafe's Festival Underground and the Montclair Farmers Market happened on Saturday, Tuesday's Make Music Day was a complete success. For the first year, the event included NJ Transit's Music in Motion and had the full suport of the Montclair BID. We had music at coffee shops, on Church St, Glenridge Ave, Montclair Public Library and went from 8:00 am to 11 pm!
2015 was the second Make Music Day. Since "Make Music Day" was officially on a Sunday, we decide to hold events on two days and made it Make Music Weekend! It was rainy on Saturday, but that didn't stop us from holding events in at least four locations, including Festival Underground w/ Serendipity Cafe at Edgemont, the Montclair Farmers Market and Pop-up. Sunday's weather was great and we held events all over town.
2014 was the first Make Music Day in Montclair. We kicked off the day with a Woody Guthrie sing along and had events all day, young fiddlers in the Farmers Market, Festival Underground in Edgemont Park w/ Serendipity Cafe, show tunes in Watchung Plaza, kids music atthe Library and partnered with the Business Improvement District for music on Church St as well as a full day of music at the 73 See Gallery on Pine St.
